Dr. Alec Houpt and Inertial provide guidance and expertise for our carbon capture initiative. Dr. Houpt received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and MS/PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

After 10 years of performing experimental R&D for supersonic and hypersonic propulsion technologies, he formed Inertial which uses supersonic nozzles to Next Century Power, LLC Confidential & Proprietary 3 capture CO2 from post-combustion industrial exhaust. Inertial is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and recently was awarded a Phase I STTR grant from the National Science Foundation in partnership with the University of Notre Dame.
